Terrain details: Though largely flat, the trail also has a challenging off-road section near Appuldurcombe House. An easier alternative is shown on the route card. The route is appropriate for mountain bikes or hybrids.

Amenities available on route: Sandown and Shanklin are large resorts with a wide choice of pubs, cafes & shops. Both Sandown and Shanklin Stations have information kiosks seling simple refreshments. A good stop for refreshments along the route is Godshill which has many pubs, tea rooms and shops. A little further on, Wroxall also has pubs and a shop.
