Sizing a bicycle
Sizing a bike is very important, be you young or old, big or small and experienced or novice. A wrongly sized bike will make things difficult and could result in injury.
BIcycle sizing for children
When buying a bike for a child it's important to remember how quickly children grow. You may want to leave some room so as you're not buying a new one in just a few months. However, never get one where the child can't touch the floor with the tips of their toes otherwise it could be dangerous.
Children's bikes will often be grouped by age but never trust this without first letting your child on the bike for a test. If this isn't possible, follow our chart below.
